About
Indigenous Networks is a project of the Community Broadband Team at the Institute for Local Self-Reliance. The site documents the work by Native Nations to build and manage their own networks, as well as advocate for the policies that help them exercise their sovereignty over and through their vital telecommunications infrastructures. Our goal is to inform and champion those working on or interested in the crucial issue of broadband access for indigenous communities. In addition to original research, writing, analyses and visualizations, Indigenous Networks will gather and spotlight the important work of other organizations that support Native Nations’ broadband efforts.
